Glaramara Hotel - Borrowdale Valley

Stunning and great position in Borrowdale Valley.

We came to Borrowdale Valley for summer holidays, everything was perfect. The location was peaceful and breathtaking, hotel is based away from hustle and bustle. Furthermore, the area was local. The restaurant was good for dinner and breakfast. We had a fine stay that exceeded all expectations, will be back.

An Lovely Climb Experience!

Our stay focused on the exhilarating climb of Scafell Pike! Friendly staff supported our adventures while indulging in the hearty buffet breakfast. The packed lunches fueled our hikes perfectly. For a larger group, reserve meals in advance to avoid last-minute restaurant hunts in Keswick!

Amazing stay for families!

My family and I came here for a quick getaway to hike Scafell Pike. The views from the lounge were fine, perfect for sipping cappuccinos! The breakfast spread was delicious, with a fab full English. One little hiccup was the pillows on the bed, pretty flat! But overall, it was cozy and cute.

We had a fantastic stay with amazing breakfasts and a good four-course dinner that was delicious. The cozy lounges were the perfect spot to unwind after a long day of exploring. I'd definitely come back!

Glaramara hotel was such chill. The staff were super friendly, makin me feel right at home. Breakfast was amazin, like a full english or cereals, and the cafe area is perfect for relaxin with a drink. The views were fine, especially from the lounge. The bed was comfy too!

Only complaint was the thin pillows, they could be better. Dinner service made everyone wait for mains. It was kinda weird.

The breakfast was a highlight, served with a personal touch as our names were on the reserved tables. I found the dinner options to be quite limited and the timings a little too rigid for my taste.

I had a lovely stay where I appreciated the excellent breakfast and the drying room worked a treat after a long day. The cozy lounge and sun terrace were perfect spots to unwind after exploring. The only downer was the meal pricing. A few cheaper options would be nice, but the quality was great! 😊

Glaramara provided an ideal base for exploring Borrowdale's fine trails. The clean, spacious room offered amazing views, while the friendly staff enhanced our experience. Only downside was the limited breakfast hours, which felt rather restrictive. A fantastic getaway for adventure seekers.

The rigid 7:30 PM dining time is far too early!!! A lack of flexible dining options and pre-ordering desserts creates unnecessary stress . Room temperature control is also a concern!!!

This place suits me perfectly! I enjoy the free Wi-Fi and the cozy bar area. Super nice team, printing my boarding pass during my first stay. Can't wait for Easter to return!
